Imperial War Museum Commission

14–18 NOW is a commission for leading artists to create new work as part of the UK’s First World War centenary commemorations. Spread over five years, 14-18 NOW created a new way of marking major national moments through the arts, commissioning artists to create works that respond to different aspects of the war through film, visual arts, literature, dance, theatre and music.

14–18 NOW will work with arts organisations to give audiences and communities across the UK the chance to see and take part in the programme. With 107 projects in more than 220 locations across the UK. The programme of events has set a new benchmark for the arts and heritage sectors in commemorating national moments both in the UK and internationally.

Their answers were recorded and have been locked in a time capsule.
